Connecting With Muslims

Today's Friday Feature Story focuses on the latest news from our Wednesday night study and also a personal message from Dr. Jerry Porter about his ministry to the Arab speaking world. First the book:

JESUS AND MUHAMMAD
On Wednesday nights during the last seven weeks Pastor Bud Reedy led a discussion about the book Jesus and Muhammad. This book compared two of the most influential men of all time; Jesus, the founder of Christianity, with 2 billion adherents; and Muhammad, the founder of Islam, with 1.3 billion followers.

FINAL SESSION 
The final session took place this past Wednesday night. Special guest Rev. Joseph Moussa shared that millions of Muslims around the world are turning to Jesus and becoming our brothers in Christ.  He discussed seven suggestions when sharing Jesus with Muslims:

1. Do not argue with the person about Biblical doctrines.
2. Pray for them.
3. Share your experience with them.
4. Ask "What is the remedy for sin in Islam?"
5. Share about the forgiveness of sin and Jesus' redemption.
6. Lead them in the sinner's prayer when they are ready.
7. Provide them with a New Testament or access to the Jesus Film.

During a recent visit to Stillmeadow, Dr. Jerry Porter described his ministry to the Arab speaking world. Since then, Stillmeadow has established a Jerry and Toni Porter Missionary Chapter to support this ministry.
