VBS / PRISON MINISTRY / VOM UPDATE / SERMON RECAP

"Last year we did a week long VBS as part of our Youth Group's Mission Week project. It was held at a local park and we had a lot of fun with it! This year, VBS will be on our campus and it will be in the evenings." Rachel Zeigler - Children's Ministry Director

This year's VBS is called, "Gadgets and Gizmos" and we will be teaching the children that they are each uniquely wired and wonderfully made! This will be a fun week of games, activities, music, missions, and creative teaching to help kids understand this important lesson.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
VBS is open to everyone 3 years old to 5th grade and we are hoping to use this event as a way to make connections with our local community and start relationships that will continue into the future.

PASTOR JOSH SERMON - ROMANS 12
A “One Another Church”

A one-another church belongs to one-another. (Romans 12:4-5). This is a belonging that goes beyond race, beyond place and beyond fan base and there are three important practices in living together as a "one another church." (Romans 12:9-10)

1. Love without hypocrisy.
o We fake it when we want something other than what God wants.
o We fake it when we desire the benefits of church without the cost of discipleship.

2. Hate evil.
o There is a place for hate in the church. But it is never directed at another human. It is directed at evil itself.
o We show hate for evil when we confess our sins.
o We show hate for evil when we change our habits.

3. Cling to good.
o Cling is the same image the early church used for marriage.
o We cling to good when we act out love for others.
o We cling to good when we honor others with words, actions and prayers.
