SERMON RECAP from last Sunday 

Rev. Michael Downs from Cross Pointe Nazarene church was our special speaker at the Stillmeadow campus during the 8:00, 9:15 and 11:00 services. Here are some comments made during his sermon:

Everything flows out of Discipleship.

Discipleship is Adventurous 

1. Going somewhere you've never been before. 
2. It's out of your comfort zone 
3. It's the ability to see things you've never seen before 

Discipleship is Inspirational

1. Growth happens as you share life with others 
2. The Word comes to life when you need it 
3. Worship becomes deeper as you plug into the power 

Discipleship is Messy

1. Imperfect people don't always do the right thing
2. It involves being a servant

Imitate God therefore in everything you do. 

1. Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse sin
2. The light within you produces only what is good, right and true 
3. Carefully determine what pleases the Lord. 

In fact, our desire every morning should be to please the Lord. Give God permission to interrupt your world.

1. Remain faithful. 
2. Don't remain an infant Christian.
