Jonathon Maloney

The Maloney family has worshipped with Stillmeadow since June 2014. Jonathon is married to Mindy and lives in York, PA with their four sons; John (7), Eli (5), Nathan (2), and Asher (2 months). 

This Sunday, November 6th, Jonathon will preach in all three services  This will be the last time he will be preaching, since he and his family will be relocating to San Diego, CA, where Jonathon will be assigned as the Chaplain of the USS San Diego (LPD 22). His bio is shown below.

Chaplain Jonathon Maloney was born in Terre Haute, Indiana.  He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion in 2003.  In 2008 he received the Master of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was ordained an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2010. 

Chaplain Maloney has served as an associate pastor at the West Union, IL Church of the Nazarene (2004-2007) and the Gardner, KS Church of the Nazarene (2007-2008).  He was the senior pastor of the Taylorville, IL Church of the Nazarene from 2008-2011. 

Chaplain Maloney was commissioned as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Chaplain Corps, United States Navy in March 2011.  Upon Graduation from Officer Development School in Newport, RI and Naval Chaplains Basic School in Fort Jackson, SC, he was assigned to 2D Marine Division in Camp Lejeune, NC.

While at 2D Marine Division, Chaplain Maloney was assigned as the Battalion Chaplain for 3d Battalion, 9th Marines from November 2011-August 2013.  During his time there he worked up with the Battalion and Deployed to Southern Helmand Province, Afghanistan for 7 months. 

Following his tour with 3d Battalion, 9th Marines, Chaplain Maloney went to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines and served there from August 2013 – May 2014.    

In June 2014, Chaplain Maloney was assigned to 4th Marine Corps District in New Cumberland, PA as Command Chaplain

Chaplain Maloney’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with Gold Star, (in lieu of second award).
