Getting to know your Church Board PT. III / Sermon Recap

In this week's Friday Feature we continue with pictures of your remaining Church Board Members, and a little bit of personal information about their life and family.

During the week I am an IT Applications Manager for Bon-Ton Stores. On May 15th, Deb and I will celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We have three grown children and five grandchildren (two sets of twins).

I work at Harrisburg Area Community College, Lancaster and Lebanon campuses, as now an assistant professor of history. I am married to Rebecca Mingus who works for the church. We have three kids, sons Tristan Scott age, 11, Aidan Robert age 8, Daughter Lennon Noel age 21 months. And a cat named Otis.

My part time job keeps me out of the house 1 or 2 days a week. My 2 grandson's are a literal blessing from God...Dios es Bueno.

During the week I work as an IT systems analyst for the Naval Supply Business Systems Center. I have been married to my wife Jess for 6 years and we have two children Addison age 2 and Hudson age 2 months.

Much of my week revolves around StiiImeadow. I'm active with the Stillmeadow Vets,
the Classic Club, I serve as a Small Group leader and as the church financial secretary. In my
spare time I work with my hobby.

I came to Stillmeadow about eight years ago and have been with LifePath Christian Ministries for ten years. Before I was saved my life was in shambles, but now, with the support of the church and my ministry at LifePath, I am trying to live a Christ-like life.

I have been married to my wife Lida since 2003 and we are guardians of a 12 year old named Montana. We also have two adult sons, Nathanial and Brandon. I work for a heat exchange company as a Journeyman Maintenance technician. My family is part of a number of different discipleship groups at Stillmeadow.

SERMON SERIES "UNDERDOGS"
Last month Stillmeadow began a sermon series called "Underdogs". Since then we've provided a brief recap of each sermon. Here are some takeaways from last Sunday - about an underdog named Jeremiah. Being an underdog requires courage sometimes, and Jeremiah was a priest who God called out from among the priests - to say some things for God. So, what does God want your pastor to say to you today?
  1. Sanctity of human life vs. abortion? No. I’ve already said it…over and over again.
  2. The idolatry associated with materialism? Not today. You know what the scripture says.
  3. I speak for God when I say, "The church of Jesus Christ will be judged by God, in part, by how we treat immigrants, refugees, strangers. People who have come to our great country and have become our neighbors. Mark 12 is clear - Love God, Love your Neighbor.
  4. So today I say......
