Welcome To The Family-Stillnaz Library-Sermon Recap

During the next few weeks Friday Feature News will introduce 21 special people who will be joining Stillmeadow on May 21st. We will provide a face and a name - and information about each new member of Stillmeadow Church of the Nazarene.

WELCOME TO THE STILLNAZ FAMILY!
MELISSA, HOW DID YOU FIND JESUS?
I was raised Jewish, but had lost my faith as an adult. I had a few life changes that were pretty traumatic that brought me to Jesus.

HOW DID YOU FIND STILLMEADOW?
"A friend told me about her involvement in The Table ministry and I wanted to be a part of a church with a mission of giving to the community." I am really interested in Stillmeadow's Welcoming The Stranger ministry. I was looking for a church home for my family, since I have three children, Xander (5), Alice (3), and Charlie (23 months). During the week I work as a nurse at York hospital.

JOHN, HOW DID YOU FIND JESUS?
"I was introduced to Christ through my sister and really came to Christ when my life was broken. I have been delivered of street life and my old belief system and worshiping the other side. I really came to know Christ and the love of Christ threw my mentor Pastor Bud.

HOW DID YOU FIND STILLMEADOW?
"I was introduced to Stillmeadow through my wife."

EMMY, HOW DID YOU FIND JESUS?
"I found Jesus when I went to a halfway house in Johnstown. I found him, accepted him, and was baptized at a church picnic in a lake."

HOW DID YOU FIND STILLMEADOW?
"I found Stillmeadow when I was living in a recovery house and was brought to Stillmeadow by a roommate. So I found Jesus and found Stillmeadow in recovery."

UPDATE ON BOOKSTORE/LIBRARY

The library has been relocated to the Stillnaz cafe. Stop by this Easter Sunday from 10:15 - 11 and pick up a free book. Scott Rosenau, our free book guy, will be there to greet you and help you select your free book or Bible.
WHO IS THIS FREE BOOK GUY?
"At the library, I will be maintaining the free book section. I will receive donated books and organize them so that they are ready for people to browse and select the books that they want." Scott Rosenau

Scott Rosenau has been married to Julie for almost 5 years, and they have a 3-year old daughter, Allison. Scott and his family have been attending Stillmeadow for about 2 years. Scott has a Master's Degree in History from Penn State and a passion for books. In fact, his personal library exceeds 1200 volumes and continues to grow! Other activities Scott participates in at Stillmeadow are Man Cave, and (when he is out of the cave) coaching in our kids Soccer league.
SERMON SERIES "UNDERDOGS"
Last month Stillmeadow began a sermon series called "Underdogs". Since then we've provided a brief recap of each sermon. Here are some takeaways from Pastor Bud's sermon last Sunday - about a kid underdog.
  1. When Kid Underdog brought his lunch to Jesus he was putting his trust/faith in Jesus.
  2. Jesus said unless you become as a child you will not enter the kingdom.
  3. Underdogs Offer What They Have to Jesus.
  4. Underdogs Learn That Little Is Much When God Is In It.
  5. So, what are your five loaves and two fish?  (What talent/ability, gift do you have that you haven’t given to Jesus yet?
  6. What can you offer to God that He can use/multiply.
  7. “You have something the world is dying for.”
