Today's Friday Feature will focus on our Discipleship Director
Patty and Dale Clymer
Hi, I'm Dale Clymer, Jr. and as Stillmeadow's Discipleship Director, I believe no one was meant to follow Jesus on their own. Part of my role is to encourage people to connect with other believers by providing oversight for Men's groups, Women's groups, Life Activity Groups, Support Groups, Parenting Groups and Ministry Groups.

"Dale is an incredibly dedicated teacher." Steve Voorhees

I also teach Stillmeadow's Happily 2gether Forever, which is a small group focused on strengthening the relationship of married couples. Basically, we learn how to become more Christ-like in our homes. The group meets Sundays at 9:15 AM in room #118.

Our two adult children and two grandchildren
MY FAMILY
I am the father of two grown children and two grandchildren. We all live in the greater York, PA area.
HOW DID WE LAND AT STILLMEADOW?
My uncle was the job site superintendent when Stillmeadow Church was being constructed. While there, he found a kitten and brought it to Kiersten, our 2 year old daughter. A few years later, we decided to attend Stillmeadow. (I suppose we are the only family that began attending Stillmeadow because of a kitten.) As of this year, we have been part of the Stillnaz family for 16 years.

STILLMEADOW CONNECTIONS
After we arrived at Stillmeadow we enrolled Kiersten, our daughter in Child Care. At that time Sally Reedy was the director and Sue Cox was our daughter's teacher. Years later, when our daughter was in college, she worked during summers at Stillmeadow Child Care. And today, Kiersten's son is enrolled in Stillmeadow Child Care.

“Some of our most effective relational and missional connections at Stillmeadow Church have been developed through the hundreds of parents and kids that are part of the Stillmeadow Child Care Center.”  Pastor Bud Reedy

VOCATION
As a Dairy Consultant I make nutritional recommendations for animals. Actually, I love my job. In fact, a few years ago I realized I was giving more attention to animal nutrition than my own diet!

WHY DISCIPLESHIP?
A smaller group is the best place to sustain a Christian life. It is there we can build close relationships that keep us accountable - as we walk together in our spiritual journey with Christ. Discipleship is one of three things that we encourage every believer to make part of their life....Personal Devotions, Public Worship and Group Discipleship.

SERMON SERIES "UNDERDOGS"
Earlier this month, Stillmeadow began a new two month sermon series called "Underdogs". Since then at the end of each Friday Feature News, we provide a brief recap of the sermon.

Last Sunday, Pastor Bud unpacked more of the book of Daniel. Our takeaways were as follows:
  1. God hand picks the underdogs He wants in a particular situation.
  2. God appoints underdogs to walk into the fire and He appoints underdogs to pray for those who have walked into the fire.
  3. When God acts He always has someone praying.
  4. God needs fiery furnace underdogs and prayer room underdogs.
  5. One of the most important services this year will be Ash Wednesday March 1st @ 6:30pm. Please save this date and plan to be at Stillmeadow for important personal and intercessory prayer time.
