Today's Friday Feature will focus on our World Mission Director.
Hi, I'm Pastor Isabell Clark and as Stillmeadow's World Mission Director, I execute the functions of the Nazarene Missions International arm of the church of the Nazarene.
Nazarene Missions International (NMI) is the church-relations heart of Global Mission in every local church worldwide. NMI promotes, informs, involves, and raises funds for Global Mission. NMI represents, organizes, and legislates for Global Mission at all levels of the church—local, district, field, regional, and global. NMI collaborates closely and in harmony with Global Mission, which administrates Nazarene mission globally.
NEW EAST JAMAICA DISTRICT TRAINING CENTER |
I also oversee our mission partnership, EJam, with the East Jamaica District of the Church of the Nazarene. We are dedicating their new building in March and have two Stillmeadow teams going this year. (adult team going the end of March, and a teen team leaving beginning of July)
LIFEPATH CHRISTIAN MINISTRIES |
Recent Painting by Isabell |
I am an artist but wouldn't call it a hobby - but a passion. If I wasn't doing ministry I would be painting full time! The only thing I am more passionate about is Christ! I was baptized in Christ when I was about 6 or 7 but I don't really remember a time when I didn't believe in God.
I appreciate the opportunity to serve as Stillmeadow's World Mission Director.

SERMON SERIES "UNDERDOGS"
Earlier this month, Stillmeadow began a new two month sermon series called "Underdogs". Since then at the end of each Friday Feature News, we provide a brief recap of the sermon.
SERMON - FEBRUARY 12, 2017 |
Last Sunday, Pastor Bud looked at the life of the Underdog named Daniel. Our takeaways were as follows:
- Underdogs are those people who sometimes find themselves in the midst of overwhelming circumstances.
- We saw that Daniel experienced a difficult "SITZ IM LABEN" (his situation in life).
- Everything in Daniel's life was Father filtered. God allowed Daniel's situation and was interested in how Daniel would respond. Daniel didn't control his situation, but could control his response and attitude.
- Daniel resolved not to defile himself. He refused to be contaminated by the Kingdom of his world.
- We learn from Daniel's life that when we are in the midst of difficult situations, God will give us direction. God never fails!
- Direction for our lives generally comes through prayer, which shows our dependence on God.
- In our country today we are up against several things that are contrary to God’s Kingdom. Materialism vs. Generosity, A culture of death vs. life, A critical/divisive spirit vs. civility.
- We need to "Dare To Be A Daniel" and refuse to be contaminated by the kingdom of our world.
