RANDY SCHILLER |
I gave my life to Christ in 1981 and since then have become a self described Bible Geek. My first encounter with Stillmeadow was through the Singles Ministry, where I met my wife Deborah. We are now married and our Daughter Madison is 2 1/2 years old. I have 3 adopted sons and two adopted daughters ranging from 20 to 43. With them, I have 10 Grandchildren and one Great-Grandson.
Stillmeadow keeps me busy in many areas including:
- Teaching a Sunday School class “Heroes of the Bible” at 11:00 AM.
- Teaching a Wednesday night Class “Share Your Faith without Fear” at 6:30pm.
- Giving devotions and playing bass guitar for the Back Porch Pickers.
- For two years I've served on the Church Board.
- My wife Deborah and I direct the StillNaz Soccer league for 4-12 yr. old children.
- I plan to teach on Wednesday nights in March, April and May.
- And I am helping to start the Home Churches Ministry here at Stillnaz.
I have always been eager to serve Christ and share my faith with others. My entire life changed on the day that I invited Jesus into my heart. I find it exciting to be with someone when they encounter the Holy Spirit and give their life to Christ. In a blink of an eye, they complete the one purpose they were born for. The Bible says that this is the one time when we can make the all of the Angels in Heaven rejoice and I hate to miss a good party.
I’ve also served Christ in different churches and ministries, as a Youth Minister, a Music Minister, a Street Evangelist, Sunday School Teacher, Small Group Leader, Home Church Leader, Devotional Leader, Deacon, and I’ve helped start 6 Churches.

So what did we learn from last Sunday's Underdog sermon about John the Baptist? Check out these helpful takeaways:
- John the Baptist words and deeds were considered by many as being radical. Truth is, his was a radical dream - "that God was a fixin to move in a new way".
- John the Baptist was counter-cultural. The culture of that day thought he was weird. Not a bad example for us.
- John could have remained a star. But he knew that the Father wanted him to be an underdog for Jesus sake.
- Today we are to become Jesus’ underdogs. Our lives point to Jesus . . we are followers of Jesus . .. it’s all about Jesus.
