New Sermon Series for 2017

Two weeks ago the Friday Feature News "Silver Lining Behind the Cloud" shared recent efforts to mobilize lay volunteer leadership at Stillmeadow. Today we have a question for those who don't think they are qualified to lead.

Have you ever felt like an underdog; like you don’t have the ability or confidence to pursue God's best for your life? Here's some good news! The Bible is full of ordinary people the world considered underdogs, yet God chose them to do His work. As Ron Edmondson writes; "Jesus was willing to invest in people others would have dismissed".

This Sunday, January 8, 2017 begins a new two month sermon series called "Underdogs". Pastor Bud will unpack the lives of men and women like Gideon, Moses, Esther, King David, Samuel, Joseph, Paul the Apostle, and even Jesus. A special Friday Feature edition will recap each sermon, beginning January 13th. The sermon series is designed to help everyone realize that God sees our potential. It is our "inability", not our "perfection" that makes us an underdog worth using in God’s eyes. The new series will help each of us deal with excuses holding us back, so that God can accomplish His best plan for our lives.
